Shingle Roofing in Orlando & Central Florida

Shingle roofs are common across Central Florida, but Florida heat, storms, wind, and heavy rain can wear them down faster than homeowners expect. Missing shingles, lifted edges, granule loss, damaged flashing, and roof leaks all need to be checked before a small roof issue turns into water damage inside the home.

When to Call for shingle Roofing Help

Meticulous work. Doug and his crew are extremely professional and very thorough. Doug is on-time and on-site when he says he will be there. I saw his work prior to hiring him (neighbor 1 block over) and I knew he was our roofer. Best decision ever. We highly recommend Orlando Roof Tech 100%. March 27, 2026 - Windermere, FL

We recently had a tile roof replacement done by Doug and team. Doug had our best interests at heart from the beginning. Provided other options for consideration besides roof replacement which we appreciated. Provided detailed explanation of the process including that he would be on-site. Pricing was very fair. His team is extremely detailed oriented and delivered what was promised and more. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing roof work. Thank you for your attention to detail and most of all tbe integrity shown by you and your team.

Doug was on site and prompt in addressing all our needs, even taking time while on vacation to help with urgent matters. He walked us through the process and delivered exactly as promised, earlier than expected and within budget. We are receiving several compliments on how great the new roof looks. Highly recommend for anyone needing honest opinions with competitive pricing and quality work.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT SHINGLE ROOFING

Don’t see your question answered? Contact Us

Sometimes, yes. If the damage is limited and the surrounding roof is still in good condition, a targeted repair may make sense. If the roof is older or damage is widespread, replacement may be the better long-term option.

It depends on the age of the roof, the amount of damage, the condition of the shingles, and whether there are leaks or underlying issues. Some shingle roofs only need targeted repairs, while others are better handled with replacement. Orlando Roof Tech can inspect the roof and explain the best next step.

Yes. Missing or lifted shingles can expose the roof system underneath and allow water to enter during rain. Even if you do not see an active leak yet, missing shingles should be checked before the damage spreads.

Storm damage may show up as missing shingles, lifted tabs, creased shingles, exposed underlayment, damaged flashing, or granule loss. Some damage is hard to see from the ground, so it is smart to schedule an inspection after strong wind, hail, or heavy storms.

Some granule loss is normal as a roof ages, but heavy granule loss can be a sign of wear, storm damage, or an aging roof system. If you are seeing granules in gutters or around downspouts, it is worth having the roof inspected.

Shingles can curl, lift, or crack because of age, heat exposure, wind, installation issues, poor attic ventilation, or storm damage. Once shingles stop lying flat, they may not protect the roof system properly.

Yes. Orlando Roof Tech can inspect the roof, document visible damage, and explain what roofing issues may need to be addressed after a storm or insurance inspection.

Not always. It depends on the roof’s age, condition, inspection results, and whether there are active leaks or visible defects. A roof inspection can help you understand whether repair, replacement, or documentation makes the most sense before listing the home.
